Questions
What this site will and will not say
Burutu is a specific place and a specific configuration. The public pages stay inside what can be said before contracts exist.
- Is this a financed project?
- No. Land, gas, offtake and sponsor funding are still open. The site describes the development case.
- Are the capacities contracted?
- No. 250 MW, 2.0 MTPA of LNG, 1.0 MTPA of methanol and 2,010 hectares are planning parameters.
- Where are the costs and returns?
- They are not published. The feasibility work is planning-grade and is not in circulation.
- Is there a data room?
- Not on this site. A room for lenders opens when the studies are fit to share.
- Who holds the land?
- The surveyed parcels are in the name of Sahel-Don Projects Limited. The sponsor states that this is the same group as Akewa, which holds the port concession.
- Is the deep seaport part of the hub?
- Akewa holds the Agge Deep Seaport and the Burutu port concession. A separate common-user port company is not an operating line of this platform until the concession conditions, including Nigerian Ports Authority consent, are met.
