Gas and midstream gathering

The hub is planned on Nigerian domestic gas, gathered to Burutu. The planning case is a framework, not a signed gas sale agreement.

Phase 1 feedstock is OML 109 (Ejulebe). Atlas Petroleum and NNPC Gas and Power Investment Services hold the licence position described in the development studies. The planning volume for that phase is 180 MMscfd, for the LNG plant. A terms of reference with NNPC is a framework instrument. It is not a gas sale agreement.

Phase 2 adds 100 MMscfd from OMLs 43 and 45, ten to thirty kilometres across the estuary, where Renaissance Africa Energy is operator alongside NEPL. A first discussion has been held. That takes the LNG feedstock case to 280 MMscfd. No volume on this page is a contracted delivery. Later phases would need further gas. The base case already uses nearly all of the supply it assumes.

Processing sits on the industrial land at the hub: inlet, treatment, and the fuel gas required by the power plant, the LNG trains and the methanol plant. The midstream system is what ties the five lines into one platform.
