Nigeria’s domestic users in paints, adhesives, resins and formaldehyde cannot absorb a plant of this scale. The base case is therefore export, through international methanol traders, to Asian and European buyers.
Phase 2, a further 1.0 MTPA, needs more gas than the base-case supply and stays outside the platform case until that gas is real. Air Liquide and TCC are identified in the development studies. Identification is not a contract.
