Industrial land on the port concession

The hub sits at Burutu, on the western Niger Delta, using the port concession and the surveyed backland behind it.

Burutu is in Burutu Local Government Area, on the Forcados river system. Akewa Colmar Terminals Limited holds the Burutu port concession and the Agge Deep Seaport. The sponsor reports more than 2,000 hectares of industrial backland behind the port.

A certified survey plan, No. 2210/DT/128/2026 of 14 October 2026, covers 2,010.118 hectares at Angolo-Oba and Aghoro 2 along the Ramos River, in the name of Sahel-Don Projects Limited. The sponsor states that Sahel-Don is the same group as Akewa. The hub needs about 1,000 hectares of that land.

The first land uses in the development case are a marine fabrication yard and a logistics yard. No lease is signed. The products terminal is switched off in the base case until anchor customers exist.

A separate common-user port company is not treated as an operating asset until the concession conditions are met, including the written consent of the Nigerian Ports Authority.
